GästDT hos Scrapptorget

Under Oktober månad hade man chansen att vinna en GästDT plats hos Scrapptorget, genom att gilla deras sida på facebook.

Jag gillar Scrapptorget och då var det inga problem att gilla dem på facebook också. :) De har en inspirerande blogg och ett härligt design team.

Och gissa vem som vann en av de tre GästDTplatserna - Jo, det var lilla jag! :D

Scraps of Darkness

So finally it's official!

I found out about this on Saturday morning and have been dying to tell you since then... I know, long time to wait, right....  ;)

I am the new Educator on 

the Scraps of Darkness Design Team!!!

I'm so happy and honored!

Scrap of Darkness is a kit club for the alternative scrapper.

Al-ter-na-tive: adj. - 1. offering or expressing a choice.  2. different
from the usual or conventional.  3. Scraps of Darkness Kit Club.

The kits are packed with yummy stuff, filled with inspiration. There is also an active forum with supportive nice girls, that inspire you like crazy.

I will make two video tutorials a month using the main kit, the color add on and the creative add on. Hope I can teach you, inspire you and dare you to try getting messy! :)

Lördagspyssel

Idag har jag pysslat massor. :)

Färgen på mina fingrar och tomteskum kanske kan skvallra lite om vad jag har pysslat med... och med vilket tema...

Confused

I've made an Art Journal about how I feel right now, in my life.... kind of confused of how I should divide my time.

The brushes represent my creative life and the caliper is my engineering life. I like the engineering part of my life, but I need creativity to breath. Getting my fingers messy, after a day at work, is lovely. Don't you agree with me? :)

I drew the brushes and the caliper on heavy weight paper, cut them out and colored them with my Faber Castell Pitt artist pen big brush.  

The other stuff is stamps from Dylusion. I've seen Dyan Reaveley make those kind of girls, with suff coming out of their heads and I was inspired by that. :)

I found the girl on Pinterest, at a friends board, and I immediately knew what I wanted to create with her.

I'm so happy that I managed to draw shoulders and a shirt on her - like the result. :)

First I covered the page with tissue paper that I painted, then I added modeling paste through a mask for more texture.

Feel your boobies

Under Oktober månad brukar kampen mot bröstcancer uppmärksammas lite extra. Och det är något som ligger mig varmt om hjärtat.

Youdo har en tävling denna månad där man ombeds att skapa i rosa. Och jag hakade på...

Tjejen och texten är lånad härifrån.

Jag blev väldigt inspirerad av Camillas alster i senaste Inzpira. Jag gillade tanken på att göra en Art Journal om något så jätteviktigt som vi tjejer måste komma ihåg att göra en gång varje månad.

I botten på sidan har jag klistrat fast ett sådant där mellanlägg som ligger mellan lagren i en chokladask. Tyckte att det hade härlig struktur, så jag sparade det. :)

Först sprayade jag hela sidan med Dylusions mist i rosa (Bubblegum), sen sprayade jag med en av Heidi Swapps nya mister (Primrose) genom en TCW mask med stora cirklar på. Jag gillar hur man bara kan ana att det är cirklar på bakgrunden.... det syns i vissa ljus då Heidi Swapps mist har lite mer glitter i sig än Dylusions.

 

På senaste Swescrap-träffen så fick vi låna några masker från Scrap-Perra. Denna mask med hjärtan föll mig i smaken, använder sällan hjärtan på min alster, men denna gång passade det in i temat. 

Jag kladdade på Modeling Paste med en spatel över masken. Dylusions misterna är väldigt vattenkänsliga, och om man lägger modeling paste över så blöts misten upp igen och färgar av sig på modeling pasten. Denna gång ville jag att detta skulle ske, så att modeling pasten blev lite flammig.... den blev nästan för lite flammig...

Jag skrev för hand på denna sida, då jag ville hålla en mjuk framtoning. Det var lite svårt för texten att synas över strukturen, men det får vara så.

Ett viktigt budskap hittar alltid fram till rätt person!

Så jag vill sända ut lite kärlek till er tjejer, där ute! :) Ta hand om er och glöm inte bort - Känn efter!

My first video tutorial

This is an Art Journal page that I've already shown you. It is made for a challenge on Scrapptorgets Cyber Crop, a couple of week ago.

The challenge was to use three of everything you use on the page.  That is why, in the video, I use the Big Pit Pen on my texture stamps instead of a black stamp pad that I normally use. But it worked fine using that pen, so now I have even more colors to stamp with. :)

I used: 

• Three distress ink pads - Broken China, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick 
• Three different pens - scarlet lime black, Faber Castell Big Pit Pen Walnut brown and Deep scarlet red.
• Three masks - Chevron, Mini Blazonry, Mini Frag Flower
• Three words - I love Creativity
• Three hearts
• Three texture stamps - She art, Graffiti, Chicken wire 

So here is my first video tutorial - ever.... Be nice! :/

Please, leave me a comment about what you thought about my video. I know that I need to save it in higher resolution, but other comments.... Do you like the length of it? What do you think of the fast forward part? I talked through the whole video, but then it was 20 minutes long... Would you prefer it to be 20 minutes, with more explaining or like this? Do you want more close ups?

The word "love" fit perfectly in the little heart.

I created texture on the thicker letters with my She art stamp from Christy Tomlinson and, as I mentioned before, the Faber Castell Big Pit Pen. 

Here is a close up of all the layers I created with the masks, the ditress ink pads and the texture stamps.

Those hearts came out so cute... Love the little doodling around them. :)
